‘Sherlock’ season 4: Does Andrew Scott know the answer to key Moriarty question?
“Sherlock” fans are currently off somewhere, preparing for the process of being tormented for quite a while. Season 3 has been over now for more than a month, and there is still no indication from anyone as to when Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss are going to even get together to begin the writing process on season 4. Our theory? It will be a while, given that there are still more months of “Doctor Who” production ahead.
But just because there may not be scripts written does not mean that all cast members are in the dark in regards to future events. For more news on that, just take a look at what Andrew Scott said recently. In a new interview with Digital Spy, Scott confirmed that he knows what is the secret behind that infamous Moriarty message at the end of season 3, which is something we assume will be touched on whenever the show does come back:
“I do know the answer to that question, yes, and I’m not going to tell you!”
This is not exactly the most revealing answer to a question, is it? As frustrating as this may be, at least remember here that there will most likely be more greatness from the show eventually. If we had to guess now, our feeling is that we could have three more episodes in the summer or the fall of next year. We do not think that there is another two-year wait for more goodness coming up, but there are schedule concerns to be worked out, and also time required to make certain that the scripts are everything that good “Sherlock” should be.
So for now, move along and continue to entertain yourselves with visions of LEGO versions of the characters. We’ll have more news as it comes out, and if you want scoop on everything that we cover now, we suggest just signing up for our CarterMatt Newsletter.
