‘Survivor: Cagayan’ rankings: Is Jefra, Alexis, or Jeremiah ruling the Beauty tribe?
There is no tribe on “Survivor: Cagayan” right now that is more completely off-the-wall than the Beauty tribe. We haven’t really received enough of them right now to know just where their place is in the game, and where they really stand with each other except for a few little suggestions here and there. There are some players who have made interesting moves, but nobody’s really been insane like the Brains tribe yet. As a matter of fact, the only reason our 6th-place castaway is in sixth is because of the position that he was handed from the get-go.
As we’ve said with our other tribe rankings (which you can see here for Brains and here for Brawn), we’re ranking based on edit, strategy, and also overall effectiveness, which includes performance at camp and in challenges.
6. LJ McKanas – LJ has really done nothing wrong except be a leader, and that could doom him in this game. He made an instant enemy in Morgan just because he had to send soeone over to camp early that he perceived to be weak. If she gets the girls or Jeremiah on her side, he is in big trouble.
5. Morgan McLeod – Morgan is in a similar sort of dangerous position, but we were surprised by her strategic aptitude somewhat in the premiere. She came up with a decent lie about why she was off in the water, when she was actually looking for an immunity idol. That clue could be what saves her in a battle between her and LJ.
4. Brice Johnson – We find Brice to be very entertaining and an understated player so far, but things could go one of two ways for him. He could make a move too far and get blindsided by the tribe, or continue to scheme his was far into the game. The only reason he’s ranked higher than Morgan is because he would be targeted later.
3. Jeremiah Wood – The good news for Jeremiah is that he has possible allies no matter where he goes. Morgan and Brice want him, and LJ wants him. No matter what, he’s got friends and won’t be targeted … at least for now. In a few weeks this could change dramatically.
2. Alexis Maxwell – Our logic in ranking the two most-silent members of this tribe #1 and #2 is because there is no reason to think either one of them is in danger, and their edit suggests that they have more of a story to tell. It seems to be more of a cold war between the other factions of the tribe, and they then choose where they want to land in there and who they want to team up with. That’s a good spot to be, especially if they are a pair.
1. Jefra Bland – What is our logic at putting Jefra #1 right now? Think about everything that we just said about Alexis, but then also add that she has the ability to hunt and fish around camp. She hasn’t necessarily gotten a winning edit, but she also has not received the dreaded “you’re terrible” music that some players have. There’s still some fight left in her.
