‘Big Brother Canada 2’ houseguest spotlight: Meet female superfan Neda Kalantar

Neda -Have there been some female “Big Brother” superfans on the show in the past? Sure, but we feel like more often than not, it is typically the guys who get put into this role. That’s what makes us reasonably interested in Neda Kalantar, and what she could bring to the game. She may be as big of a fan as Alec was last season or Ian back in season 13 of the American show; we don’t know yet if she is a huge live-feeder, but she’s seen every season of the U.S. show, and even many of the international versions.

But does knowing the game really help you in the house, especially when you have so many people who are just clueless people off the street? That’s what we are going to get into in this particular “Big Brother Canada” houseguest spotlight article.

Name – Neda Kalantar

Age – 22

Location – Vancouver, British Columbia

Occupation – Freelance fashion stylish (so like many of the other houseguests, not that much of a permanent job)

Three adjectives we would use to describe her – Quirky, studious, and sociable.

Strengths – Neda is someone we can see doing well because she already has a plan that she won’t have to sway much from: Her plan to not win any challenges. She instead is going to rely on making friends and alliances, and using her social and strategic game to push her further. She may be able to think a few moves ahead of most of the other players, and stay under the radar for long enough to not be talked about as a target for quite a long period of time.

Weaknesses – Eventually, Neda may have to win something, so that could eventually be an issue. Also, she claims that she can be a bit blunt, and you have to worry about that leading to her putting her foot in her mouth, and angering people over little petty things. When you’re tired and stressed out in the house, it does not take a whole lot of effort to have your opinions end up getting the best of you.

“Big Brother” comparison – She compares herself somewhat to Britney Haynes thanks to her bluntness, and we see a little of that mixed with maybe Peter Brown from last season, who operated under a very similar strategy. Also, how about Dr. Will? He was the king of the social and strategic game … but she has to earn that title and she is clearly not there yet.

Outlook – We’re feeling pretty good about Neda making it far in this game so long as she stays on everyone’s good side. There are so many bigger fish to fry right away, and she may be able to hide how big of a fan of the game she is for a little while.
