‘Girls’ season 3, episode 10 preview: Allison Williams and more return
Just in case you missed the rest of the girls on HBO’s “Girls,” the good news is that many of them will be back next week for an episode that really feels like an update on many of their lives.
Despite tonight being in some ways very focused on the story of Hannah and the eventual death of her grandmother, this is not mentioned at all in the preview. Maybe we are meant to assume that the funeral has already been held, and the characters are all trying to move forward now with the rest of their lives.
So for those of you who love Allison Williams and Zosia Mamet, they’ll have much more to do. Marnie has a possible new career opportunity that does not have her working at a coffee shop, Shoshanna will continue to work on finding her place, and Jessa is going to have a pretty hard time winning over the family of her new boyfriend (who is around twice her age and from rehab).
There are only three episodes left, so you have to expect that almost everything in this half-hour will be used to set up the finale. We really cannot say that this is the best season overall for the show, but it has at least been consistent so far. There haven’t been any significant duds in the batch, and most have been solid and contained a few funny / meaningful moments.Given where we are now in the story, this is the trajectory that we expect to see the show continue down the rest of the way.
