‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 21 review: Did Aria ruin Ezra’s life?

More scoop -This episode of “Pretty Little Liars” tonight was stuffed full of stunners, and also important relationship progression. For one, Paige finally learned a little bit about what has been going on with her girlfriend, and Hanna made a startling move with Officer Holbrook that we all saw coming.

Let’s spend a moment with that, since this is something that we have had a problem with on the show for quite a long time. Why are so many adult men on this show getting involved with teenage girls? First it was Ezra, then Wren, and now the creepiness here. It’s just creepy, and in real life, many of these people would be arrested.

Rant aside, the craziness started again in here when Spencer realized that her father may have hired a private investigator to look into her actions, just in case she was the person who actually killed Alison. Her meltdown still feels like the worst is still to come, the shocking part about this is that it really just feels like the show is going down the same road again.

The new story that we’re much more interested in is Aria’s breakdown. She considered at one point trying to get Aria fired as she completely destroyed his place, and nearly sold him out in school in front of some of the students. She is unraveling, and there was not really anything in this episode that can be considered solace at all.

Instead, she will likely just continue to venture down this long and pretty painful road, and we’ll have to figure out moving forward just where that leads. The one thing that we do know? That Paige is over the police not know what is going on here, based on that little moments at the end of the episode. Grade: B.
