‘The Following’ season 2, episode 7 preview: ‘Sacrifice,’ and the tables turn

Are there some more surprises coming up on “The Following“? It definitely feels like it, especially now that it is starting to feel like the show is doing something that we have been long hoping for: A story where Joe may not be the most notable villain of the entire group.

This story is called “Sacrifice,” and that in itself is extremely cryptic. It suggests that there are some crazy things ahead that could cause someone to give up their life for a greater good. Who could it be? While it is hard to say for sure, an educated guess would point towards Max, given that Ryan Hardy has that rather nasty habit of continually losing people in his life that he loves time and time again.

“Ryan and the FBI continue their hunt for Lily Gray, and are forced to redirect their search when a new threat enters Max’s life. Meanwhile, Joe, Emma and Mandy arrive at their latest hideout, but quickly realize things aren’t what they seem.”

By the end of this episode, maybe the story will ramp up yet again, and the story will go in another new direction. The show needs to do something now to stop the bleeding, as the viewership has declined in recent weeks; while you may blame the Olympics for some of that due to the timing, it’s still something to worry about.
