‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3: Lana Parrilla’s Regina takes center stage in ‘Wicked’ poster

How much stock do you take in a poster for a show like “Once Upon a Time“? We ask the question now, mostly because we know that this is something that we could spend quite a bit of time talking about when we actually get into this season.

The poster that we attached to this article was first posted on the official Twitter account for the show, and it features Lana Parrilla’s character of Regina front and center while Charming (Josh Dallas), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), and Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) are all firmly planted into the background. This is mostly curious just because Emma is considered in many ways the lead on the show, given that she is the “Savior” and without her, Storybrooke would still be a prison for fairy-tale characters with Regina as the Mayor.

What we can tell you for now is that Regina is one of the most popular characters on the show, and we know to go along with that, she will spend a ton of time at war this season with the Wicked Witch (Rebecca Mader). She is considered by and large to be the Big Bad for this season; she is the one that has the characters back in Storybrooke, and for reasons unknown.

The mystery here is if Regina will be the primary person to take the Witch on, and if Mader’s character will be one of the other focal points eventually. We do know, after all, that there are two more parts of the poster that are still to come.
