ABC”s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: Olivia, Fitz, and Presidential debate drama
Remember when we said that “Scandal” season 3 was going to be in some ways stuffed full of Presidential debate storylines? That is largely due to the fact that there is that big election coming back, and the show obviously wants to try to make as big of a story from it as it possibly can.
Well, we now have a little bit more news about just how the very first debate is going to be handled (“Scandal” pun intended) on the upcoming 13th episode of the season airing on March 13 … and it will be with a reaction to something that nobody saw coming. While the following tease (via Zap2It), may be small, it is certainly mighty:
“Despite being well-prepared, Fitz is thrown a curve ball during the first presidential debate; Olivia faces an extremely difficult decision.”
Is Olivia’s “extremely difficult decision” in some way related to Fitz’s debate? That is something that we are never going to full rule out, mostly because of the sheer quantity of Fitz-related drama that Olivia seems to deal with on an almost-constant basis. Then again, another likely possibility here is that it somehow involves Olivia’s mother, who is ready and willing to shake things up at this point in almost every way possible. We know that she is now back on the scene, after all, and she does not have a reputation for doing things that are particularly good for anyone.
As for Fitz, think along the lines of Sally Langston as the #1 person he should really be worried about. This is a woman who knows at least some of his secrets, and despite her own skeletons that now include killing her husband, she is still somehow going to try to make a go of this election thing. As for how that is going to work, your guess is really just as good as ours.
