‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Meet younger versions of…

As we start to get to the end of “How I Met Your Mother,” you have to believe that the clamps are going to start to come down when it comes to what information makes it out to the public and what information does not … and all for good reason. After all, do you really want to know anything and everything that is going to happen? We like scooping here and there, but we would hate to have a story of this magnitude ruined in any way.

This is why we better get all of the little scoops that we have to share now out while we still can! This one comes courtesy of E! News, who reports that for one upcoming episode, you are going to meet some younger versions of the kids Penny and Luke, who are played in the present by Lyndsy Fonseca and David Henrie. This means that at some point, you will at lest get to see even more of the children’s history with the Mother prior to the point that the series is at in the future, which we have seen so many times already.

As you and many other longtime “How I Met Your Mother” fans likely know already, one of the real interesting factoids about the final episodes is that Fonseca and Henrie actually filmed for them years ago, that way it would ensure that their characters would not have aged no matter how long the show had lasted. This also made it easier to balance the actors doing a variety of other things, as Fonseca in particular was a part of “Nikita” for many seasons.
