‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9: Josh Radnor, creators on Jason Segel’s last day
We started our February 21 coverage with an article about this being the final day of “How I Met Your Mother” for Jason Segel, and it only seems appropriate that we end it the same way, now that the man behind Marshall has come and gone from work.
As you would expect from this being near the end for the show, almost everyone involved here was at least a little bit emotional and reflection on the journey, and many of them also took advantage of the opportunity to speak out a little bit. Just take a look at what two of the show’s creators, along with one of its stars, had to say on Twitter below.
Craig Thomas – “Jason Segel’s last #HIMYM scene tonight. It has been an honor to work with a man so talented and kind. We are lucky.”
Carter Bays – “Just wrapped Jason Segel. There is no truer gentleman. Boy, did we hit the jackpot with him. Godspeed Marshall.”
Josh Radnor – “I love Jason Segel”
One interesting thing to note here is that none of the three actually tweeted it to his actually Twitter handle, which is probably yet another sign that Segel never really has any intention at all of going back to the site. He was a late arrival to the network in the first place, and only tweeted sporadically before leaving his account dormant in 2012.
The good news for home viewers? That there are five more weeks of “How I Met Your Mother” still to come, beginning with Monday night’s episode “Rally.” This is going to carry over week by week until the one-hour series finale, which will answer at least some of you questions. Then, there is the “How I Met Your Dad” spin-off.
