‘American Idol XIII’ song spoilers: What Marrialle Sellars, Jillian Jensen, more could sing

Marialle -Tonight marks the the top 15 girls performance show for “American Idol,” though it very well could be called the top 10 girls performance show given that only a certain percentage of them are actually going to be able to perform. Yes, this does very much feel like one of the cruelest twists imaginable, since you have contestants who make it this far to suddenly get shut out by the judges at the last second, right before they are getting ready to have their moment in the sun. Not particularly kind.

Well, we’ve got some information on who is going to be performing what songs tonight for the ladies, at least the ones that get a chance to make it this far. These songs come courtesy of the Idol Pad, and are a combination of current hits and songs that we are already starting to hear time and time again on singing shows.

Andrina Brogden – “Happy” by Pharrell Williams

Emily Piriz – “Paris (Ooh La La)” by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals

Jena Irene Asciutto – “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones

Jillian Jensen – “Unconditionally” by Katy Perry

Kenzie Hall –  “Dreaming With A Broken Heart” by John Mayer

Malaya Watson – “Hard Times (No One Knows Better Than I)” by Ray Charles

Marrialle Sellars – “Roar” by Katy Perry

Out of this group, the most inspired choice is probably the Mayer track for Kenzie Hall, though we also like “Happy” being on here, as well. We’re already getting sick of “Paris” thanks to it being overplayed on these shows the past two years; heck, didn’t Harry Connick Jr. already throw objections out there about young singers doing this?
