‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 DVD, season 4 promotion now includes giant painting
Whoever does the marketing for “Game of Thrones” over in the United Kingdom clearly deserves some sort of award … and the story that we have for you today is only the latest evidence of that.
It was only recently that a town in Britain was temporarily named King’s Landing as a way to drum up even more support for the show, and what we have for you today is simply just fun: A rather enormous 3D art display that was put on in Bishops square in London today. Clearly, it does not take much time to figure out that this is a visual recreation of the Wall, which was a part of one of this past season’s most-spectacular scenes.
In reality, these promotional efforts are being done in Britain to promote the third season’s release on DVD and Blu-Ray, but they can also be seen just as much as more evidence that the show is making all the right moves when it comes to getting themselves ready for season 4. It has people still talking about the show and even picturing themselves as a part of Westeros, and you certainly want that. Personally, we feel even more so that you’d be much better off taking a picture of yourself trying to climb a fake wall versus having to actually do this in real life. (For the actual actors in this scene, it was done within the studio in Northern Ireland.)
