‘Psych’ season 8 spoilers: More on ‘1967: A Psych Odyssey’

Psych -The upcoming episodes of “Psych” truly are of that bittersweet variety. While they are a chance to be perpetually entertained yet again by the likes of Shawn and Gus, the significant downside that goes along with that are that they are the final five episodes that you are going to get of the USA Network series, pending some sort of miracle movie that is designed to tie together the full story. (If there is no proper ending, we’re begging for a Kickstarter right away.)

You may have heard a little bit about the show’s February 26 return “1967: A Psych Odyssey”, at least courtesy of the promo that teased a little of Lassiter’s quest to be named Chief of Police, and also Juliet getting a potential offer to leave her job and move north with Chief Vick, where she would be offered an exciting new position. So to go along with that now, we also have the official synopsis below from the network itself:

“Lassiter is determined to be appointed Chief of Police, so he sets out to prove himself worthy of the job by solving the murder of the Mayor’s beloved uncle, Archie Baxter, who was killed back in the 60s but the case was never solved. Meanwhile, Juliet receives some news that tests her relationship with Shawn.”

The big “test” that we are speaking of here when it comes to Shawn and Juliet is if they can make something work here long-distance. Not only that, but they have to figure out how this is going to work out long-term if Juliet and the Chief end up staying in their new positions. He’ll have to potentially move up there, which in turn means moving away from his home, his family, and of course Gus. Can you really imagine Shawn without him? While it would be funny to see, Gus is not just some guy who can be dragged around from city to city.

Of course, we’ll have more on this episode as we get closer and closer to it airing, so stay tuned. For now, share what you want to see below, and visit the link here to grab some more updates on all we cover via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
