After being a part of “30 Rock” for many years, Alec Baldwin has just secured his big return to primetime television. So where is he heading? Think along the lines of “Law & Order: SVU.”
While for the time being most details are scarce about the appearance, we can at least tell you a few things to look out for. First of all, E! News reports that this is going to be a big episode to feature him, mostly because it will mark the first-ever episode directed by Mariska Hargitay. Even that she has spent a pretty good percentage of her life working on this show, we have to imagine that this was a long time coming.
Baldwin will likely be given a prominent role in this episode, largely because we feel like it would have taken such to even approach him about coming on board. While you may have whatever opinion you want about his antics, there is no debate when it comes to a talent point of view. This is a guy with some major awards across the board, and has done an array of big comedic and dramatic roles over the years.
As for when you can see “Law & Order: SVU” back on your television set, think along the lines of Wednesday, February 26. That is when the first episode of the show following the Olympics is going to officially come on the air.
