ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, and ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’
“Castle” is a show that loves to lift the veil on the weird and the crazy in this world, especially when it comes to conspiracies. Rick loves them, and typically tries to create them almost out of nowhere … even when there is no justification to do so.
So, whenever there is a case that almost throws a conspiracy straight into the lap of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters, you have to imagine the sight of Castle’s eyes lighting up like Christmas morning. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” has more than just an awesome title; it also tells a great story that involves part of the Rick character’s past, and also pays homage in a sense to one of the most-popular horror franchises of all time. Take a look at the full synopsis below:
“The murder of a high school mean girl draws Castle back to one of his many alma maters, where he is giddy to learn that the evidence points to a surprising perpetrator – a teenage telekinetic, throwing he and Beckett into a real-life ‘Carrie.'”
Ironically, one of the biggest mysteries out there right now when it comes to this episode comes via the premiere date. Originally, this was the episode that was set to air on ABC Monday night, but thanks to “Dressed to Kill” being pushed back for a week, you be waiting for a while for this one. After all, does “Castle” really want to run up against competition from the Olympics? They might be more willing to try thanks to just having the lead-in from “The Bachelor” in the books.
