‘The Amazing Race 24’ cast official; Brendon & Rachel, Mark & Bopper, more return
The rumors can officially come to a close: The cast for “The Amazing Race 24” is now official! The great thing about this cast is that even though most of the cast was leaked previously, there is still quite a bit to look forward to. (There is one change from the leaked list, but we are withholding it from this article because it may involve events that take place in the first episode.)
Anyway, there are once again 11 teams taking part this season, with the biggest twist being that these are “All-Star” competitors that come from a variety of different seasons. All of them are pretty new-school in that they have all raced for the first time since the first All-Stars season.
1. John & Jessica – Otherwise known as the first team to ever give away their Express Pass. Also, John has the most terrifying smile ever.
2. Leo & Jamal – The Afghanimals from this past season! You likely either love them, or find them extremely irritating.
3. Mark & Bopper – The fan-favorite country boys who come from one of the poorest places in all of America.
4. Caroline & Jennifer – The country singers, who are probably going to either cry more or come up with more “Amazing Race” songs to sing.
5. Flight Time & Big Easy – We don’t know why they are back, either. But the Globetrotters are very good competitors, having finished in fourth and second place their two times on the show.
6. David & Connor – The sleeper team of the group, given that a torn Achilles kept them from being the warriors that they would have otherwise been.
7. Brendon & Rachel – Team “Big Brother”! You know that they will bring great entertainment and also great drama throughout.
8. Natalie & Madiya – Basically, the female version of Leo & Jamal minus some of their frequent mistakes. They’re better racers, but can be extremely annoying.
9. Margie & Luke – Why are they back? Was there a demand to see them? Luke may be an inspiration as the show’s only deaf contestant, but he does not really come across as that likable.
10. Joey & Meghan – So long as there a chance to see Joey freak out over a scorpion again, we are not going to protest this casting too much.
11. Jet & Cord – ANOTHER third-time team of racers. We feel like producers may just cast them again and again until they win.
We’re going to go much more in-depth about these teams over the coming weeks, but for now, give us your impression of all of them below. Also, sign up now to get some more updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
