‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: What pushes Sherlock to his limits?

Elementary -Elementary” season 2 has been on somewhat of a tear so far in 2014, at least in that you had the return of Natalie Dormer as Moriarty, and also a very emotional episode that focused on how Bell managed to really get back in the swing of things and get some of his old mojo back.

So where does the series go from here? That is what we are focusing on now with our first look at Thursday night’s new episode, which carries with it the title of “Dead Clade Walking.” There will be a story here regarding a cold case, and that is always very interesting in itself (especially since it allows Joan to be proactive and show just how valuable she is to the proceedings). Meanwhile, there is also going to be another storyline that puts most of the emphasis on Holmes’ own efforts to stay sober, and what happens when he runs into a problem with a sponsor.

For more details on this, just take a look at the official synopsis from CBS below:

“When Joan revisits one of Sherlock’s cold cases, she discovers an unsolved murder is connected to a rare prehistoric fossil. Meanwhile, Sherlock finds himself in uncharted territory when his duties as a sobriety sponsor cross his personal boundaries.”

All of this to us sounds interesting, but the one question we really want an answer to right now is pretty simple: What sort of “personal boundaries” are we really talking about here? That is really what could make a difference with this story.
