‘The Voice’ UK preview: Some Kylie Minogue – Sir Tom Jones fun

Tomorrow night yet again marks a brand-new episode of “The Voice” UK, and to go along with that, it is yet another opportunity to listen to some of the fun / silly things that the coaches have to say to each other.

In this edition of “what are the coaches saying,” you really just have a prime opportunity to listen to Kylie Minogue completely creep all over a certain music icon in Sir Tom Jones … and he seems to also like it. It’s not unusual (sorry, had to do that) for the ladies to love Tom, but for one of them to be on the panel itself? That is a little bit surprising.

The interesting thing about this season so far is that on the surface, we felt almost as though there was something significant missing without seeing Jessie J or Danny O’Donoghue in the group. However, the new judges are holding their own. Kylie has a different sort of energy that is not necessarily as easy to detect, but once you start to get accustomed to her on the show, you really can’t imagine it without her. Meanwhile, Ricky Wilson fits into that sort of “rock star” role perfectly.

The blind audition process has been slow and steady so far, but that is probably an intentional design on the show’s part. They are giving you a ton of what they know you like, without necessarily bombarding you with a ton of stuff that you may or may not be into (i.e. the Battle Rounds, which is the most dreadful thing out there next to marmite).
