‘The Crazy Ones’ brings Robin Williams, Pam Dawber together

The Crazy Ones -It felt right for “The Crazy Ones” to try to make this happen at one point or another, and now, it is: Robin Williams and Pam Dawber are going to be spending some time together on “The Crazy Ones.”

According to a report from TV Guide, the two former “Mork & Mindy” stars are going to be appearing in an upcoming episode of the CBS sitcom, and potentially will even have some sort of love connection. Dawber will play a travel writer that almost immediately catches the interest of Williams’ Simon while at a travel convention. It’s not the most complicated premise in the world, but that does not mean in any way that the story is going to be any less hilarious.

“The Crazy Ones” is always in need of any little thing to make the show a little bit more “crazy” … or at least to bring the ratings up somewhat. Our theory is that either it or “Two and a Half Men” will probably be canceled by the end of the season, and while it may be cheaper to make, more fans may be invested in getting a proper ending for the latter. We’re just have to wait and see where the chips fall here.

Dawber is actually in demand now when it comes to fans of a different CBS show, as well: “NCIS.” She’s married to star Mark Harmon, and we know that there is an active movement out there to try and have her appear on the show as the mysterious 2nd wife to his character who will be surfacing at some point in the upcoming 12th season. (We’re going ahead and assuming that the renewal happens.)

Do you love the casting, and are you hoping to see a lot more of Dawber on the show someday? Let us know below, and head over here if you want to get some occasionally-crazy TV updates from us via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
