‘The Bachelor’ castoff Victoria Lima not a fan now of Juan Pablo Galavis

Is there a reason now to be much more interested in the upcoming “The Bachelor: The Women Tell All” special? We had a feeling that there would be the moment that Juan Pablo Galavis stirred up some controversy by talking a little bit about if there should be a gay “Bachelor” someday.

Basically, what former contestant Victoria Lima is doing right now is everything in her power to make herself look a little less like a woman who got really drunk and made a big spectacle on TV; basically, this is a chance for her to take Juan Pablo down a little bit over what he said, and in turn help people forget about her. Basically, she told TMZ that in real life now, there is no way that she would ever hook up with a guy like Juan Pablo despite what she said about him on the show:

“If I could do it again, I probably wouldn’t go on the show with him being the Bachelor.”

She also took advantage of the platform to go after Juan Pablo for his choice of remarks about homosexuality (which he blamed primarily on the language barrier as well as the context of the question):

“We should all have the same opportunities when it comes to finding love. Why shouldn’t we have a gay bachelor? This is the 21st century, people.”

We are very curious to see how many of Juan Pablo’s castoffs over the course of this season choose to respond to his comments in this manner as they are eliminated; meanwhile, we’re just as curious to see how the winner of this season handles this. Do they stand by Juan Pablo? The hard thing right now is that society often dictates standing by the one that she loves … but this situation is a different one than most. It is also interesting that no one else within the “Bachelor” family has said anything in support of him since the comments first circulated.

We’ll have some more news on “The Bachelor” tonight … at least in the form of a full review.
