‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Lucy Hale, Rachel Bilson, Sarah Chalke returning
Thanks to the end of CBS at TCA this weekend, there was quite a big of fantastic scoop revealed when it comes to the future of “How I Met Your Mother.” The entire cast held a panel discussion, talked about the end of the show, and also lifted the veil on a few pretty cool things that you can look forward to the rest of the way.
First of all, let’s talk returning cast members! Not only will Rachel Bilson be making one last reprise as The Mother’s former roommate Cindy (who we hope appears in the “How Your Mother Met Me” episode), but you are also going to be seeing return appearances from the likes of Sarah Chalke (Ted’s ex Stella) and also “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale. She plays Robin’s sister on the show, but has not been on for so long that we imagine many forget that Robin even had a sister. (Her appearance happened before the ABC Family show even began.)
These castings add to what has already been a more-than-impressive list of people who have appeared on the show this season, which includes the likes of Frances Conroy, John Lithgow, Sherri Shepherd, and many more. We also know that Ashley Williams is also set to grace the show still for one final part as Victoria, Ted’s girlfriend from some of the early days of the show. This is a pretty impressive list that producers have compiled, and the only missing link that we can think of right nos is Lucy’s “Pretty Little Liars” co-star Ashley Benson. But, there are almost so many other big names that it doesn’t matter, and Barney’s half-sister is not a character close enough to him that she would be essential.
