‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11 spoilers: Tim Conway, Garry Marshall, Steve Lawrence to appear

“Two and a Half Men” is certainly not going to be getting many young viewers with its latest guest-star announcement, but if you are a fan in particular of classic comedy, we imagine that there is going to be quite a bit of information in here for you to like.

CBS announced this week that the likes of Tim Conway, Garry Marshall, and Steve Lawrence are all going to be appearing in the upcoming January 30 episode as friends of Marty Pepper, the uber-rich man who is dating Alan’s mother Evelyn. During the episode, Marty proposes to her, and Walden and Alan have to find a way to throw him a bachelor party. These three guys are all going to play friends of Marty’s who take part in some of the festivities.

Now when it comes to guest stars alone, we’re thrilled to see these three; Conway in particular is one of the best comedy actors ever in our book, and for Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer, there has to be a little bit of wish-fulfillment here.

Outside of that, the easy concern here with these guys is that they will be playing a part that is familiar to almost all people over 55 at this point in a comedy: Playing the “watch a senior say and do filthy things” character. This is really what helped Betty White rise back to prominence thanks to a few roles that she did, and she even now has a series regular gig on “Hot in Cleveland.”

“Two and a Half Men” is unfortunately going to be on hiatus both this week and next, with the biggest reason for that being that they want to stretch the season until May. January 30 marks the start of the February sweeps, which is somewhat ironic given that it is not actually the start of February.
