‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 13 review: McGee’s devastation; the Parsa case continues
Last week on “NCIS,” the show kicked off an arc all about Penham Parsa with a case that was literally explosive, and in a way that made us question whether or not one of our team members was ever going to be the same again.
The news regarding Agent McGee’s girlfriend Delilah went from bad to worse throughout the episode, as we learned at first that she was paralyzed as a result of surgery gone awry.
As for the hunt for Parsa, Gibbs, Bishop, and the rest of the team went all-out in their pursuit, and we’ll give the writers credit for coming up with one of their most-intense stories that they’ve had since the first few of the season. There was legitimate tension, and Bishop was not being forced into the storyline anymore as she was at the very beginning.
Eventually, we did get a chance to see someone connected to Parsa be interrogated, and some of the pieces started to come together as to where this man could be. We know that he was on a trip to Miami at a time when he went missing. This is still a case that has at least another episode to go before it concludes, but there was progress in here.
Moving forward, the one major thing that we hope for above all else is that we don’t end up seeing Delilah die, mostly because that would tie this story up in a way that was easy, but also very sad. It’s far more interesting to see how McGee navigates his life following what happened to her, and how she herself manages to figure out a way to move forward. All in all, a solid contribution to one of the better arcs of the season. Grade: B.

A show must change to stay fresh so we can give this new n.c.i.s. a go but
what is with a husband in a another state ?

I miss Ziva. Bishop really doesn’t move me either way. All I frankly was concerned about was Tim and Delilah. Given the show’s tendency to kill off female characters I thought she would be toast. I hope they explore the story arc created by her being paralyzed and her and Tim’s efforts to deal with and not just drop her out of it.

Sorry that I have to disagree with some of your points here. I still feel very much like Bishop is being shoved into the storyline, and most heinously, at the expense of the other characters! I don’t know what has happened to Tony. All of a sudden he is like a sack of potatoes- no energy, no life, no action. The opening scene had him sitting at his desk watching Bishop look at papers and eat cheese puffs! That is just lazy storytelling, in my opinion. Why wasn’t Tony out at the bombing site? Or if he really didn’t have anything to do, why wasn’t he with McGee at the hospital? Tony is not one to just sit by the sidelines and watch, ever. I’m beginning to not recognize any of the characters. very sad foregleam of how this show is going out, i think, unless they do something drastic here.

Bishop is growing on me (meaning I am learning to tune her out). I hate what has happened to Tony. Other than that, still no one remembers Parsa had Ziva first on his hit list. Tony is just making casseroles. he must have had a lobotomy.

Not only does Bishop sit on the floor and on the desk, we now learn that she sits on cubicle shelving. For a Proby to ask Gibbs why he wanted her to stand in a particular spot, is ridiculous. She is still the focus investigator, Gibbs and company have been reduced to window dressing in my opinion. In previous years, the audience always knew who was in charge, doesn’t seem that way now, as Bishop questions her boss, goes off to conduct her own investigation, doesn’t follow orders, etc. I am assuming that Gibbs told her to monitor the interrogation, but she choose to go and see Abby for something. The introduction of Bishop has not been positive and really detracts for the teamwork of previous NCAS teams. Maybe, she should go back to Oklahoma and join her husband. There is zero chemistry between her and the rest of the team.

After last week’s ending when Gibb’s told her to find Parsa and she sits on the floor with all her junk spread out with Tony and Gibbs just standing there watching her that was it for me! What a joke.
