‘Glee’ season 5: Hear Lea Michele’s title track ‘Louder’
Lea Michele is wasting no time getting as much of her original music out there for “Louder” prior to its release in March. Want to see the latest example of that? Then just look below, where you can hear the title track off of this album.
While her debut “Cannonball” and also “Battlefield” have gone for a more adult-contemporary approach, “Louder” is a song that feels more like something that you are actually going to hear on pop radio these days. There is a big, soaring chorus with a popular refrain to continue to “sing a little louder,” and it sounds like both something that you’ve listened to before many times over and also something brand-new. That is what could make it work and be more successful on top 40 radio than some of the other tracks that have already been put out there.
One other possible reason behind Lea releasing a steady flow of tracks right now is that this allows her to keep a certain level of public awareness at a time when there may not be as much press otherwise about her. “Glee” is not airing a new episode until February 25, and at that point, the show could supplement for whatever sort of promotion that Lea wants or needs for her disc. (Personally, we’re curious if the show will allow her to sing one of her own songs, which is something that Matthew Morrison did do previously during one of the New York episodes at the end of a season’s run.)
It was confirmed earlier this week at TCA that following the 100th episode of the show, you can expect to see “Glee” make the move full-time to New York City, where the majority of the season will be set. While some of the actors currently in Ohio are going to be packing their bags, not all of them will be. It is simply going to be seen just who ends up transitioning, and who ends up staying put.
