‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’: The latest promo is … adorable?

On February 24, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is going to be on the air, and NBCis pulling out all of the stops in order to ensure that it is going to be something that you want to watch, and talk about with your friends.

But the first thing that you have to be aware of here with the promo below is that Jimmy isn’t trying to reinvent himself here; instead, he’s trying to do something that he has dreamed about for a good chunk of his life, and that includes doing everything that he did to become popular on the “Late Night” franchise. The promo features a kid version of Fallon hosting a kid version of “The Tonight Show,” where he tells a joke, talks about something is “so great,” and is accompanied by a kid version of Questlove and The Roots.

The only thing that we find somewhat funny about the promo is that out of all the parts of “The Tonight Show” that you could use, you use a monologue for this promo. Arguably, that is the worst part of “Late Night,” since Fallon is more of a sketch performer in our mind than a traditional comedian. Our favorite parts of his show include getting an opportunity to do silly sketches, parodies, and also having fun with some of his guests.

What do you think about this promo, and do you think that NBC is doing the right thing when it comes to promoting Jimmy’s version of the show? Let us know!
