ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 12 video: One last clip of Nathan Fillion, James Brolin

Are you ready to see more “Castle” season 6? Every Sunday, we’re going to be sharing with you the rest of the season one promos, and this one coming from our friends over at CTV.

What’s interesting about this one is that for the first fifteen seconds or so, they seem to be burying the lead somewhat on what everyone is really looking forward to seeing: The return of James Brolin as Jackson Hunt, the father of Richard Castle who also doubles as some sort of covert spy. That’s still something that is completely crazy, and we’re very curious to see how he pulls that off.

The focus of the CTV promo instead is on Beckett doing her thing as a cop, checking out leads and trying to figure out who in the world wanted to kill a “video store employee.” Obviously, we know that there is so much more to this guy than meets the eye, but how many other people know that? The answer there is “not many,” and this is where things get a little bit exciting and crazy. Things will start to unravel, Brolin will get involved, and by the end of this episode, there are likely going to be a few moments where your jaw hits the floor.

If nothing else, Brolin’s going to show more of that gruff / evil side. So far, more of his focus seems to be on just trying to be the “regretful father” who has been forced to be away thanks to the dangerous nature of the job. We don’t buy what he’s selling. He obviously likes it to a certain degree.

What do you think is going to happen here? Will Jackson remain evil? Will Nathan Fillion be awesome? (Obviously.) Share your thoughts below.
