‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Chace Crawford to work with Dianna Agron for 100th episode

How would you like a little bit more “Gossip Girl” to fit into your world of “Glee”? This is where Chace Crawford comes into play.

According to a new report from E! News, Crawford will guest-star in the big 100th episode as a “Yale degenerate” who has some sort of relationship with Dianna Agron’s character of Quinn Fabray. Finally, some Quinn backstory!  It’ll have been a year or so since we last saw her on the show, and at that time what we mostly just saw was a pretty random hookup with Santana. There has to be quite a bit going on here that we haven’t had a chance to see.

Crawford is joining a pretty robust cast list for the episode, which includes returning favorites as Kristin Chenoweth, presumably Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and many more. Not only that, but you have to think that there will be at least a few appearances in here from some people who you didn’t previously expect. This is a big episode, after all, and we know that there are probably going to be a few attempts to surprise you.

This event is also designed with a potentially larger purpose: Draw more people into a show with declining ratings. Want to see more of the New York City gang? Then that is exactly what you are going to get. We could be coming near the end of seeing McKinley High as a valuable institution in the show, or at least a place that we could see on a regular basis.

Personally, we hope that this is a stepping stone to something that could happen more in the next year or two: More of Crawford on TV! Most of the “Gossip Girl” cast has been trying a variety of different things in the past year or so, but many of them have started to fall slightly under the radar.
