ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: See Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, ‘Lying Game’ star in ‘Limelight’

The parade of new “Castle” stories continues this week … and this time, we are focusing all about the episode called “Limelight.”

So what makes this episode so special? Unlike next week’s “Deep Cover,” which features the return of James Brolin and may end up containing a super-serious story regarding what sort of family Castle really has, this one is more about some relationship stuff with Castle and Beckett. We have a young pop star as a victim, the presence of Alexandra Chando (“The Lying Game”) as a guest star, and also questions regarding whether or not Beckett is ready to be with someone who is so well-known all around the world.

Based on some of the photos that we have on this episode, much of the conversation between Chando’s character of a young starlet named Mandy and the NYPD is going to happen behind closed doors, and understandably so. This is a very delicate and different situation for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters to handle than any other, especially in this modern age of social media with everyone and their dogs tweeting about something or another. The last thing that you want to do is cause some sort of public meltdown among a famous person’s fans, and then you only end up making a situation much worse than it was initially.

In the end, this is probably one of those episodes that could depend heavily on the performances of the guest stars, and whether or not they really allow the characters to buy into the premise. For example, we have a hard time thinking that Beckett suddenly realized that she was dating a famous person just because another famous person turned up.
