‘NCIS’ season 11, episode 12 preview: ‘Kill Chain,’ and talking Hollis Mann

Tuesday night marks the return of “NCIS” to TV, and it also apparently marks an opportunity for us to get to know a little bit more about everyone … but mostly Gibbs.

Out of all the introductions to Bishop that the show has brought us since her first appearance several episodes ago, the one that we have tonight may be our favorite because it also imposes a point of view of some of the other characters towards Gibbs. It is a quick guide to his romantic history, and all of the woman who were a major part of his life over the years. All of this ends with Hollis Mann, who is returning this week, and is also in the words of McGee and DiNozzo the one that got away for Mark Harmon’s agent.

What Bishop questions here is something that really any sane person would question: Why not ask Gibbs for more information on his past, rather than just speculating over it? That feels like it would be the much more sane thing to do besides just sitting and around and wondering why he does some of the things that he does. But the fact that every one of the agents has their own sort of relationship, and then there is Gibbs, is one of the reasons why the characters are all mostly endearing.

This episode, entitled “Kill Chain,” is going to also include alien suspicion … and to us, there is nothing more entertaining than finding out who of the group is the biggest conspiracy junkie. It is also an episode that will feature McGee getting all spiffy as he prepares for an event. His girlfriend Delilah will also be involved here in some way, regardless of whether or not she appears onscreen.
