‘House of Cards’ season 2 trailer: It all begins again for Kevin Spacey

On “House of Cards” season 2, things are going to start off potentially with Frank Underwood being sworn in … and following that, things could really take a trip straight towards Crazytown.

If you liked the first go-around for this at-this-point-almost-legendary Netflix show, then you should really appreciate the effort put into this newest trailer. There are political games, twists and turns, and more importantly Kevin Spacey reminding us of just how amazing he is at almost everything.

The truth for us here is that there could be a massive window opening up now for “House of Cards” to climb into as the best drama on TV (or at least in what is considered to be “TV”), and they just need to be ready to take it. “Game of Thrones” is now at the point where people start to cynically jump ship just because it’s in its fourth season, “Community” never gets awards-show love, “Breaking Bad” is over, and everyone is already complaining about “Downton Abbey” this season. THis coul dbe the time for “House of Cards” to step up, especially when it comes to trying to usher in a new era of Netflix and other providers.

“House of Cards” will officially arrive for viewers everywhere starting on Valentine’s Day, just in case you are one of those people who is going to try to find a way to turn watching Spacey into something romantic. If nothing else, maybe it is a great marathon for the next day or the next weekend, when you have nothing better to do since it is not warm enough to go outside just yet.
