‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ promo: Cecily Strong, ‘Saturday Night Live’ highlighted

Are you ready to have a lot more of Seth Meyers on your TV sets? Well, if you’re not you better get ready to see it happen. The new edition of “Late Night” is getting set to air starting on February 24, and it will feature the “Saturday Night Live” head writer literally not going far at all from his old studio to his new one.

To show you just how close we are talking about, Seth takes you on a brief little tour in the first video below, where he starts off by taking you from his “Weekend Update” desk, and then navigates right over to the same studio on the same floor, only to discover that his new set is not exactly being built at an extremely fast pace. There is a nice little cameo in here by Cecily Strong, and her presence in here alone is starting to make us wonder whether or not this could be a nice little hub for cameos from the current cast while they are not at work on their own show.

The expectations are high for the Seth show to pull in some solid ratings, and we really feel like it will when you consider that he really combines the best of both worlds. He is more of a traditional comic than Jimmy Fallon, and can deliver on some of the jokes every night that many people out there probably want. In addition to that, though, he’s an experienced enough writer to excel at sketches. He also has a fanbase who will likely be watching him from the start, especially since he didn’t try to go off and make movies during the interim like Fallon did.

What do you think about this video, and does it make you any more excited for the start of Seth Meyers’ reign on late-night TV? Share your thoughts below!
