‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 spoilers: Is something awry with Cat, Gabe?
For most of “Beauty and the Beast” season 2 so far, there has been no question that the focus has been on Cat and her relationship with Vincent; but is that going to really stay that way forever? Based on some of the scoop that is coming out now, it is starting to feel a little more like we are about to see Gabe start to enter the picture much more than he has so far in season 2.
It’s been well-documented that the man, who claims that he has been cured of his beast-like tendencies, has some feelings for Kristin Kreuk’s character. While we cannot sit here and confirm that these feelings are going to turn into something more, TVLine suggests that they will at least become so much more of a story than they were previously by the time that the episode airing a week from Monday night comes to a close.
As for what this could end up creating, the easy guess is a situation that will feel like a love rhombus of sorts. You have Tori, who has a connection with Vincent, who has a connection with Cat, who could in turn have a connection with Gabe depending on what happens next. Now, if only Gabe started to have a connection with Tori, then we would be going all the way around here. Then again, that would feel like a soap opera and could be more or less described using only the word “ick” (if that is even a word).
“Beauty and the Beast” is hoping to accelerate the story quickly in the second part of the season, especially in the weeks that it is going to be airing new episodes before being shelved a little bit later in the year.
Would you root for a Gabe / Cat romance, even if it was just another way for Vincent to make a move on her again? Sound off in the comment box below!

I guess the writers are trying to make this show their last season. I do not like season 2 and many of the other fans feel the same way too. Why destroy the relationship between Cat and Vincent after you spent the entire first season putting them together. Why can’t you go back to Vincent helping Cat solve crimes from afar with different twists then bringing in different people to separate them. I am afraid that this will be the last season for this show. People are beginning to lose interests

I like the idea of a romance between Cat and Gabe. I like his nobility and the way he was willing to sacrifice his own wants so Cat could be happy with Vincent. If only we were all loved so unselfishly. I actually watch the show more now for Cat and Gabe then I do for Cat and Vincent. If it was up to me cat and Vincent would get back together have a baby a sweet romance that ends with Vincent dying and Gabe stepping in to care for Cat and her son

Love the idea of Cat and Gabe, I like season 2 better because there is competition. In the original series Cat loved two men, that both loved her and would do anything for her and it worked!

During the first season, whatever the critics comment at the time was not in accordance with the preference of the public in “Beauty and the Beast”. The evidence is such that the series was honored with a “People’s Choice Award”. Also, what a whole community of fans was commenting and discussing about this series, was definitely not in accordance with the “ratings” announced. Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan had a “supernatural chemistry” in the first season, and what they( I mean directors, writers and producers) did, or what they had to do because of the unexplained low ratings, it TOTALLY worked. Everyone watched until the last drop of Beauty and the Beast, season 1. The story of Catherine and Vincent “against the world” captivated all of us. As much as Sheri Cooper and Jennifer Levin thought they were being too cliches they were NOT. While they were simply being original they became unique. Except that, in the second season, these fantastic ladies were taken by the sameness of the stories contained in the series as a whole and simply ended with the originality of the show by introducing a way to test their own love story (“push to earn it”) AND… a love triangle, turning what was so victorious for them in the first season in something more cliché than ever. And now, all the will of the fans to continue watching the characters Catherine and Vincent hitherto existed, faded with what was introduced as their main one “mantra”: “Who Am I”, transforming the story unfolds in a pathetic breakdown ritual of all that they built in an entire awarded 22 episodes season. I cannot possibly understand how people can wiggle with a team that is winning to make it be defeated this way. And so far, every desire of fans to continue watching Catherine and Vincent hitherto existed, fight for their love is decreasing every day. I, personally prefer now to see Gabe with Catherine because it seems more “right”. Vincent is being a jerk. Go figure.

THAT IS BY FAR THE WORST POSSIBLE SITUATION. I HOPE THE WRITERS AND CREATORS TUNE IN; THEY ARE DESTROYING THE SHOW, CAUSING A SHRINKING AUDIENCE,ABANDONING THEIR LOYAL FANS AND ARE ON A CRASH COURSE FOR CANCELLATION!! ARE THEY PAYING ANY ATTENTION AT ALL TO THE RATINGS OR THE WEB-SITE???

The writers have destroyed what was my favorite show. The whole writing team should be fired, they are going from bad to worse. Last season I would not have missed a show! I watched it twice, now? I’ve given up.

I definitely do not “root” for Gabe & Cat – I have been hoping that the show would not go there as it is beyond believability that she could have feelings for the man/beast who kipnapped her in finale to trap her “epic” love Vincent so he could harvest his lympathic system to find a cure (oh yeah and leave Vincent dead). He forced her to inject Vincent with immunization so he could try to fight off Gabe so they could escape and that reversed Vicent’s own cure. After their fight,it led Vincent to be captured by bio Dad, memory wiped and reprogrammed so that he had no personal memories and so on… This is why they would be so repugnant and unbelievable as a couple. I hope that this is short lived – however far this goes, as they are talking about her getting it on with her cooking instructor in ep 12 so hopefully we won’t have to endure this icky, icky coupling for long. Same goes for Tori – can’t stand her, want her out of the picture — want a geniuine story of finding themselves (Cat & Vincent) and challenges to be together and not this sopera like plots with triangles with Gabe/Tori or anyone else for that matter. So I am not a Gabe fan or Tori – want them to get back to the central theme of the show and that is the connection between Cat & Vincent they have enough challenges without needing to go down that path but given the spoilers, I guess this is where we’re going. Just hope they don’t drag this out too long or I am afraid that the ratings will not improve enough to get us a 3rd season. Did I say, I’m not in favour of this Cat/Gabe plot (LOL).

Hi, Jennifer. I totally agree with you.
It is absurd the idea Gate with Gabe (It’s like Cat losing your self esteem) and Vincent did not need another beast in your life – no need for that. Cat’s father is already a huge obstacle to VinCat.
