‘Parks and Recreation’ season 6 spoilers; A farmer’s market, and the buildup to Ann’s exit
While the 100th episode of “Parks and Recreation” is going to be airing on NBC Thursday night, there are still some interesting stories that we’ll be able to touch on between then and the departure of Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe a little later this year. We are at a point now where we are starting to get ready to say goodbye to these actors, and “Farmer’s Market” (airing on January 23) may be one of those stepping stones.
While Ann in particular does not look to be a central part of this episode in some ways, we are still going to see her get involved in the B story as she tries to figure out how best to handle her pregnancy. Take a look at the full synopsis below:
“Leslie (Amy Poehler) fights with Ben (Adam Scott) over questionable sales techniques at the local farmers market. Ann searches for a way to vent about the annoying aspects of pregnancy, while April (Aubrey Plaza) supports Andy (Chris Pratt) in a new creative venture.”
Lowe is not mentioned at all in the synopsis, but for the time being it’s best to not make too much of that. This episode is the 12th of the season, and specifically, episode 13 is when you are going to supposedly see the end of these two actors as series regulars. Their departure was filmed in November, and it was reportedly quite an emotional occasion for everyone involved. As for what is coming up after that, the focus for the show seems to be more on utilizing the people that are already around, and not necessarily trying to fill the void with a bunch of new characters who would probably be met with reactions a la “you’re not Ann!” or “we want the other characters back!”
