ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 11 video: Watch a (playful?) Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion scene

Only a show like “Castle” can somehow find a way to take a situation that is as serious as an investigation into a fire, and find a way to add a little bit of fun and lightness into it.

There is all sorts of goodness crammed into the brief sneak peek below (first posted by TVLine), starting with the news that Ryan’s wife Jenni may be giving birth … or not. He receives a call that turns out to be the ultimate fake-out, as he learns instead that it is just his wife checking once again to make sure that his phone is still up and running.

Eventually, we know that this is going to be a very important story in this episode, since it has already been scooped that Ryan is going to be a father by the hour’s end … but under some pretty dramatic circumstances. He is going to need to rely on some friends to help him, and we are not just talking about looking after the baby.

As for the other facet of this sneak peek, it is really all about some fun moments for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic to play off of each other for the Caskett wedding … which still doesn’t have a date attached to it. Despite all of the humor and jokes back and forth, the constant reminders that this is happening suggest to us that we will at least have a better idea what is going on by the end of the season. Even if the wedding hasn’t happened yet, we should at least get some further confirmation that it will take place, and is not just being cast aside and forgotten.

This episode is the first of several big ones for Castle and Beckett in particular, given that following this one we not only have the return of James Brolin as Jackson Hunt, but also some more questions about whether or not Kate is ready to be married to a successful author with a crazy fan base.
