On the upcoming January 20 episode of “Beauty and the Beast,” we are going to see a show within a show … or we are at least going to see a fictionalized talk show that features one of the characters making a startling admission. Want to guess who it is? It’s probably not going to take you very long to come up with an answer.
“Ancestors” is the name of this episode, and it’s going to be one that is a heck of a lot of fun to watch from start to finish. After some of the drama with Tori earlier this year, it really feels like time that we try on something a little different. Maybe this episode will be the cure for what ails us:
“Vincent (Jay Ryan) goes on a national talk show to reveal he is still alive, while Cat (Kristin Kreuk) dives into an undercover case for FBI Agent Dana Landon (guest start Elisabeth Röhm). Vincent, determined to learn more about his beastly origins, ends up coming face-to-face with Cat in the middle of a heist, which forces them to work together.”
This is going to be a time when some of the fan base really is going to have to go out in full force in the hopes of proving one thing: The ratings struggles for the show this year are based more on the timeslot, and not the actual content of the show. “Beauty and the Beast” will be going on hiatus for a while in the spring, and part of the reason for that is the declining numbers that it has had without “The Vampire Diaries.”
What do you think about the idea for this episode, and do you think that a lot of great stuff can be mined out of seeing Vincent on television?
