‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Series boss on Slade Wilson’s goals, Laurel Lance’s story

At the end of “Arrow’s” fall season, the show pulled off quite the impressive coup with their big reveal that not only was Slade Wilson alive, but he was the driving force behind the Brother Blood operation that was slowly starting to take hold across Starling City.

Where do we go from here? That is a good question, but when January 15 rolls around, do not necessarily expect the show to stall out and wait before delivering some more awesomeness in our direction. For example, showrunner Andrew Kreisberg tells TVLine that you are going to see much more of Manu Bennett in the present-day universe throughout the winter part of the season, and it will start to become clearer just what he wants with Oliver and the city:

“Slade has a very specific goal in the back half of the season, and I think people will be surprised to discover both what it is and what it means to Oliver.”

Kreisberg also promised that the story arc for Laurel Lance, who has at this point been polarizing as she battles Moira Queen and struggles with her own drug addiction, is going to start to take a little bit more shape:

“These next four episodes are a big Laurel chapter. We’ll see her drug use come back to bite her, and she hits rock bottom … Katie Cassidy is delivering the most amazing performances.”

What do you want to see from “Arrow” the rest of the way this season, and do you think that this Laurel arc could help to improve what has been the show’s worst character so far this season? As always, sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!
