‘Sleepy Hollow’ spoilers: Who is in danger in ‘The Vessel’?

Before this season of “Sleepy Hollow” comes to a close, the writers seem to be making it a mission that no one within the main cast is let off easy when it comes to terrible things happening to them. So far we’ve seen Ichabod and Abbie be routinely kidnapped, attacked, tormented, and haunted by various spirits and demons. So with that in mind, can you really be that surprised that someone is going to be heading after Captain Irving and his family now?

Based on the official synopsis below from the upcoming January 13 episode, we now have a pretty good idea just who “The Vessel” is within the title of this episode:

“When Capt. Iriving’s daughter, Macy, becomes the target of evil forces, he makes a desperate plea to Crane and Mills for help, and seeks answers that lie within Washington’s Bible. Meanwhile, a frightening chapter of Jenny’s past is revealed”

It’s pretty hard to be all that shocked about the reveal that there were some major skeletons in Jenny’s closet, mostly because she has been such a mysterious character and frequent-traveler in the first place. While out on her old missions, who would guess just what sort of trouble that she got herself into? She has quite a bit of knowledge in the supernatural world, but some of this may have come through either first-hand experience, or just being in a great deal of danger.

The sad part of this episode? Think along the lines of the simple fact that this is the second-to-last week that we are going to get a new “Sleepy Hollow” on the air until next fall. The final two episodes of the season are airing back to back, which means that we will be waiting for a while to figure out what happens next. (Also, it is probably fair to expect a massive cliffhanger to go along with the wait.)
