Adam Lambert finds time within ‘Glee’ hiatus to rock Biloxi crowd with ‘Lay Me Down’

Want to get your week off to a rocking start? Whether you found out about Adam Lambert through “American Idol,” “Glee,” or simply hearing his voice on the radio, odds are that you’re going to love his new performance of “Lay Me Down” courtesy of Sunday night in Biloxi, Mississippi.

This song, as most diehard Adam fans already remember, is off of the new Avicii album, and is a collaboration between the famed DJ and Nile Rodgers, who found extra pop-culture notoriety this year courtesy of his time working with Daft Punk. It’s a fun, funky song, and Adam’s live version of it delivers vocally in a way that transforms any room into a giant party.

Adam has a busy 2014 lined up already, in between working on an upcoming album, performing some more gigs, and of course his current arc on “Glee” as Elliott “Starchild” Gilbert. We know that there is at least one more episode of the show featuring him that has yet to air, and there may be more coming up beyond that depending on what happens in the story. The one pretty much confirmed to feature him in “Fremenies,” is going to air on Tuesday, February 15, and is going to feature a little bit of a friction (if not more) between some members of the band Pamela Lansbury.

We’re also personally hoping for yet another performance from Adam on “American Idol” this upcoming season, but there are a ton of variables that could play into that. For example, we don’t know how the new producers are going to feel about bringing back at least one past contestant a week on the results show. (Personally, we love that there’s a showcase for what past alumni are doing now, regardless if they are big success stories like Adam or someone who has done more work on the indie scene.)

What do you think of Adam’s take on the song? Let us know below!
