‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 6, episode 9 review: Everyone’s crying
On last week’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” we were stuck in Savannah with the ladies where nothing really happened. The whole episode felt more like a tourism advertisement for Savannah then anything else as we took a tour with the ladies and ended the episode with some drama that wasn’t even focused on one of the housewives. So was this week just as boring?
They jumped right into the drama tonight with a confrontation between Cynthia and NeNe. Cynthia brings up an incident about her daughter “twerking” and NeNe jumps all over her leaving Cynthia in tears thinking that she’s being a bad mother, but after a pep talk from Porsha and Kenya she feels better.
Although it was hard to watch Cynthia break down over her daughter, it was great to see Kenya and Porsha bond over it. Unfortunately it also left Porsha in tears as the talk of babies and families makes her feelings about Kordell and the divorce come to the surface.
After things went so well between Kenya and Porsha, Kenya decides to talk to Phaedra and clear the air, but Phaedra really isn’t that interested, saying that she has too much going on right now with her job, school and kids to really worry about being friends with Kenya. After drying off all of their tears and spending a night out drinking Porsha decides to text Kordell.
The night ends with Porsha trying to give a toast to everyone saying that she’s so happy that everyone is together and happy, but NeNe calls her out on not being a good friend and Porsha admits that since her divorce she’s been self involved and hasn’t been the best friend.
Much like last week, it feels like not a lot happened this week either. There was a few nice moments with Kenya and Porsha (which we honestly thought would never happen) and the little fight between Cynthia and NeNe, but for the most part the highlight of the episode was seeing the girls screaming over a bug that flew into the house. Grade: D+

Almost forgot!!! Who in this natural world does Nene thinks she is telling Cynthia how to raise her daughter when her oldest son, who has or had no parental guidance over him whatsoever, has a child out of wedlock, has broken up with the baby’s mother, totaled a car Nene bought him, and what does Nene do? Well of course, she buys him another!!! Ridiculous! It’s not teaching him right from wrong. Has Nene forgot SHE WAS A STRIPPER at a young age with a violent man? How old was she when SHE started dating? How old was she when she had Brison? Funny, she has all of this “advice” for Cynthia.
She can’t even guide her own child, but she’s trying to tell Cynthia how to raise her child. I think Nene’s jealous of Cynthia’s lifestyle. Cynthia’s daughter is refined, beautiful and Cynthia’s household is balanced. The child’s father is present in her life and Peter is a good step-father to her.
I used to like Nene, but the little acting roles she’s had has turned her into an Atlanzilla!

I enjoy it when everyone is on time, is courteous to one another, and gets along. It annoys me when fights are picked just for the sake of drama. Porsha married Kordell to gain status; she even says so (in so many words) in her opening dialog. Nene seems to be putting on airs now that I’ve read she’s worth an estimated $10M. Greg needs to stay off the show, he is sooo corny. Phaedra is competing with Kandi and her businesses. What’s wrong with be a successful lawyer? Why do you need to be in the funeral business? All she talks about is the money to be made along with her greedy “pastor” partner. Mama Joyce needs to fix herself up a lot and Kandi needs to respect herself by telling, not asking, but telling her mother to mind her own business or stop coming around. She, too, is only concerned about Kandi’s money. I like Cynthia. She seems to be the only class act on the show. Kandi should really look at past episodes of herself. She was so cute, but she’s allowed her slow metabolism, her mother, others’ opinions and views of her to wreak havoc on her weight. Come back, Kandi, you can do it!
