‘The Following’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Mike Weston?
When you look at some of the stuff that various characters went through on “The Following” throughout the first season, then there may actually be a part of you that starts to feel like Mike Weston somehow got off a little bit easy. But, you’re about to realize that this is definitely not the case courtesy of some of the new scoop coming out now about the long and difficult road ahead.
Speaking to E! News in a new interview all about the character (played by Shawn Ashmore), executive producer Kevin Williamson does his part to explain that there is something horrible that the guy is going to be involved in, and it could change him much more than anything else that he has been through in his attempts to try and defeat Joe Carroll:
“With regards to last year and everything that happened with all the brutality and the horrific events he witnessed and was a part of, that’s nothing compared to what happens this year for him. He really does get pushed to the absolute limits of his sanity and his ability to cope with something.”
Of course, Mike is not going to be alone when it comes to dealing with these terrible things, since this is going to be what really unites many on the second season. During the early stages, Kevin Bacon’s Ryan Hardy is going to start to imagine that his life has taken a turn in a much more positive direction. But then, some other events will start to unfold that really tell him that he’s going to have his work cut out for him trying to stop what Joe has up his sleeve this time.
