‘American Horror Story: Coven’ spoilers: Does Gabourey Sidibe know the Supreme’s identity?

The question surrounding the Supreme has quickly become the biggest issue on “American Horror Story: Coven,” even above trying to figure out who is going to die next, or what is going to happen to Fiona, otherwise known as the cockroach of the show in that she cannot seem to be killed no matter how hard everyone tries to make sure that it happens.

But does any of the cast of the show know who the top witch in the coven really is? As it turns out, the answer to this seems to be “no”. As Gabourey Sidibe said recently in an interview with E! News, most of the actors on the show are still in the process themselves of trying to figure out just who this mystery woman is:

“We all ask each other—we all have our own theories about who the next Supreme is and what’s going to happen. Every time we read an episode we run to each other or text each other and go, ‘Oh my god, you know what happens!?’ Then we try to figure out the story ourselves. None of us have any answers.”

Sidibe’s status on the show is largely a mystery moving into the second half of the season, based mostly on what happened Wednesday night. While things certainly aren’t looking great for her at the moment, what we do have to remember right now is that anything can happen on this show, since there are seemingly no issues with reviving people time and time again so long as Ryan Murphy deems it appropriate. Yes, that is somewhat annoying, but it is the way in which this show is constructed. We always complain about how death means nothing on the show, but at the same time we’re also grateful to still have Frances Conroy and Emma Roberts around.
