‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 finale: Part of ‘Anarchy Afterword’ to air on FX
Is FX finally taking more of a leap when it comes to “Anarchy Afterword”? It at least feels like it. While we are still holding out hope that this is a “Sons of Anarchy” aftershow the network will put on the schedule full-time next year (mostly because it could be cheap to produce and profitable), for the time being, most of the show is still being made an exclusive of the show’s official site.
But there is at least some good news when it comes to the upcoming episode that will air following the season finale on December 10: The first nine minutes, per a recent Twitter Q&A with creator Kurt Sutter, are going to air on FX proper. For those of you who love watching things on the big screen / are too lazy to go over to the computer, this is great news to potentially get you hooked on it. Chris Franjola hosts the show, which features a combination of familiar faces (actors or people behind the scenes) and also celebrity superfans. After these nine minutes, the show (which has been done twice already this season) will then take to the internet.
We imagine that after the end of this episode, there’s going to be quite a bit to discuss … and by “quite a bit,” we mean a lot. Next season is the last for the show unless there is some last-minute change, and given the label of this as the “most violent yet,” we assume that the chaos and carnage is not going to end with the death of Clay Morrow, shocking and tragic as this was. There are still some more actions from Jax Teller and SAMCRO that could be deemed worthy of retribution, and you want to always end your season with something that leaves various jaws across the world on the ground.
