‘Supernatural’ season 9, episode 9 preview: Misha Collins returns for midseason finale

One poster -All season long with “Supernatural,” you’ve been waiting in some way to check out the epic battle between Castiel and the other angels that have fallen to earth. Luckily, and after a few standalone episodes the past couple of weeks, some of your questions are going to be answered on next week’s “Holy Terror.” This is the midseason finale, and it is being teased in the promo below with one word: “Epic.” This is going to be a big one, so you better be ready for everything that is coming up next.

Castiel’s return comes at a time when he proclaims that the angels are starting to prepare for war, and Misha Collins’ character will meet up with the Winchesters in an unusual circumstance. To read more on that, just take a look at the full synopsis below:

“After a massive angel slaughter occurs, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) arrive at the scene to investigate and are surprised to run into Castiel (Misha Collins). While investigating, Castiel is captured and tortured. Meanwhile, Dean questions Ezekiel’s demands and wonders if it might be time to tell Sam the truth.”

Away from Castiel, we have to ask how in the world it is even going to be possible for the truth to set Sam free. After all, anytime that Dean tries to bring up or address the Ezekiel problem to Sam, the angel takes over and tells him that he shouldn’t do anything. Not only that, but this same angel has been keeping Castiel away. That makes matters all the more complicated, and it also means that Dean is going to be both very clever and also very motivated if he wants to figure it out.
