‘Supernatural’ season 9, episode 8 preview: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles play … virgins?

Check it out -There are some things that you would not imagine the brilliant “Supernatural” writing staff ever thinking up in a million years, and we personally think that the idea of the Winchester brothers as virgins is pretty darn high up on the list. The idea behind “Rock in a Hard” place airing next week is so entertaining, we don’t really even need to watch the preview video below to get excited about it. But with being said, having some sort of video evidence of the sort of antics that Sam and Dean are about to get into surely doesn’t hurt.

Just in case the idea of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki’s characters taking a purity pledge was not enough to make you excited, also know that this episode is going to bring back beloved guest character Sheriff Mills, who introduces the case to the Winchesters so that they can try to figure out the best way to handle it. Take a look at the full synopsis below:

“Sheriff Mills (guest star Kim Rhodes) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help investigating multiple murders in her small town. Discovering all four victims belonged to the same church chastity group, Sam and Dean decide to infiltrate by joining the group themselves. When Dean disappears, Sam and Sheriff Mills realize whatever they are hunting has taken Dean too and team up to rescue him.”

When it comes to standalone episodes, we personally find that the best ones, save for the more emotional ones like “Pac-Man Fever” or even tonight’s “Bad Boys,” are those that just throw the brothers into something that is completely out of their comfort zone. Putting these guys into a chastity circle is enough to probably accomplish that. Not only do they have to immerse themselves in the group, but they have to actually be convincing at it if they have any hope at all of pulling off their mission. Otherwise, we are going to be looking here strictly at an embarrassing situation for themselves where there is also a murderer on the loose.

Do you love the idea for this “Supernatural” episode as much as we do? Share your thoughts below, and click here if you’re interested in reading our full “Bad Boys” review.
