‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, episode 8 video: Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and nightmares

We can’t think of a guy who has been through more on “The Vampire Diaries” as of late than Paul Wesley’s character of Stefan, mostly because of the myriad of terrible things that he has been forced to deal with. Just think along the lines of the frequent torture that he has been through, him drowning a billion times earlier this season, or also just what he has gone through when it comes to losing Elena.

So what is coming up next on the guy’s plate? Think along the lines of him having to deal with Elena inviting him a party, and him being a little too “haunted” to appear. Specifically, he is getting more and more of his own history back when it comes to just what he went through when it comes to his repeated drowning, and it is turning into a series of nightmares.

This video promises to set up a pretty interesting situation in that Stefan doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in attending Elena’s event … but he may still need to. The way in which this season has gone so far, the most-important events and surprises have been born out of unusual circumstances.

But moving forward, the issue for Stefan and Damon is going to just be ultimately trying to figure out how in the world these two are going to continue to function as brothers without addressing the elephant in the room: Elena. This could be one of the real reasons why he doesn’t want to head of to Whitmore College, since it require him having to endure a completely different sort of nightmare: Having to watch his ex happy with another man.
