‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: What has Ian Somerhalder’s Damon upset?
Want to see the latest mystery related to “The Vampire Diaries” season 5? Well, it has to do solely with the question that we ask in the title of this article. Why is Damon Salvatore suddenly getting so upset with Aaron, the mysterious guy on campus that has forged a bond with his girlfriend Elena?
Well, the first thing that we should point out here is that this is from the upcoming 10th installment of the season, which has the oh-so cheeky title of “50 Shades of Grayson.” Aaron seems to be very much on the defensive here, almost like he knows that nay wrong move is going to set Damon off and unleash some sort of world of hurt on himself that he surely is not interested in receiving. The biggest thing (at least for now) that we may be seeing Damon upset about is simply misplace anger at himself. He knows that he is not always the best boyfriend imaginable, especially when it comes to hearing Elena out. Aaron fills a void that he often fails to do. He’s also a different sort of male presence than what Elena has had so far in her life.
But should Damon be worried about Aaron stealing the woman in his life? It’s a little hard to say right now, given the place that we are at in production. That much has not been revealed to us, and it’s possible that Aaron could have feelings that develop. However, for the time being we have not seen anything on the subject, and it feels a little bit more like that Damon is feeling threatened over something that is effectively nothing other than his own paranoia.
Elena and Damon have clearly shown already that they are not immune to all sorts of drama, and we’re likely to see that carry through for however long they are together, whether that is a few more episodes, or the rest of the season.
