‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Where does Barney want to have rehearsal dinner?
There are not too many episodes of “How I Met Your Mother” left before we go on hiatus until the new year; as a matter of fact, it’s really just over a week when we will be starting to arrive to “The Rehearsal Dinner.” This is an hour of television that will fill a number of important purposes, at least in that it gets everything set up for the big day (coming of course in the spring), and also trying to establish just how Marshall tries to fit in again with the rest of the gang after spending much of this season so far only working with Sherri Shepherd and no one else on a regular basis.
But what is going to be one of the more interesting conflicts of this episode comes via learning just where Barney wants to have the sinner. Is it some sort of fancy restaurant? Not exactly, and nor is it the hotel that the entire gang has been staying at for some time. Instead, it’s the laser tag venue. Yes, this is the past that we have seen Barney have some of his greatest life achievements, and it is also the place that will mostly likely make Robin facepalm a few times.
Barney’s plans do typically have a strange way of working out, at least unless you are talking about his attempts to try and get his parents back together this past week. We at least know that a good many characters have gone to square off against him in the past, and the list includes such people as Robin’s father, many of his friends, and of course dozens of terrified young children that have to feel the wrath of his laser gun. This could be pretty hilarious if he manages to make it happen.
This is not the only interesting story that will take place this week, but the other is too spoilery right now to talk about. The only hint that we can give you is that something that was first mentioned earlier this season is going to be coming back into play.
Before we get to this episode, though, there is the inventive “Bedtime Stories,” which will give you a little bit of an opportunity to see what happens when some of the characters are allowed to speak only in rhyme. Click here to watch a promo for it.
