‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Get a closer look at the ‘new’ Governor

The latest -There is no one more terrifying on “The Walking Dead” these days than The Governor. He is the biggest villain that the show has, and he’s also an unpredictable mess of emotions stemming from everything that transpired with him at the end of last season. Just look at the guy if you want to get some more evidence on his emotional stability: The dude is sporting an eye patch, looks like he desperately needs a warm shower, and has a reputation for killing people. None of this points to him returning to the show Sunday with a prayer circle or with a magical cure for the virus that is tearing everyone apart.

But, you have to at least admit that there is still some ambiguity there. While David Morrissey’s character is an angry guy, he’s also a smart guy. This is a character that at least knows enough to not barge in shooting everyone at this point, and needs to have a better plan to get what he wants.

The Governor -Based on this new photo (via Entertainment Weekly) from Sunday night’s “Live Bait,” he certainly doesn’t look like a guy that is going to be ready to negotiate. He looks like he’s been through hell. But for this man, we imagine that the first goal has to be to get into the prison somehow, unless he has some other sort of save haven from the walkers. There has to be a reason why he has been presumably watching them, and it’s unclear just how much he knows about the interior of the prison being chaos. (While he may not want to be in an infected area, there’s not much he can do to get revenge on the outside.)

As for just how much you’re going to be seeing the guy the rest of the way, let’s just say for now that there’s not going to be another five-week hiatus coming up again in the near future for him. We can’t fully equate this to how “Homeland” is treating Brody this season, given that Brody is not even in the same country as the other characters.

What do you think The Governor’s goals are, and how long do you think that it takes the guy to kill someone? Share below, and click here if you want to get the answer to another valuable question these days: Are we going to see Carol again?
