‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: Kurt Sutter, Katey Sagal sit down with Howard Stern
Before we dive into what is going on with “Sons of Anarchy” creator Kurt Sutter and his wife Katey Sagal on “The Howard Stern Show” this morning, we at least want to touch on the success of last night’s “Sons for Sandy” charity event in New Jersey. Overall, there were tens of thousands of dollars raised for the relief effort both along the Jersey Shore and in Theo Rossi’s native Staten Island, and it therefore has to be considered quite a success and a good time for everyone who attended.
In case you are still interested in donating to the cause, you can visit here to see the Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund, or here to visit Staten Strong, the organization co-founded by Rossi following the storm’s arrival in New York last year.
Now, let’s turn to what took place on Howard’s radio show this morning. If you’ve got an hour on your hands, you are going to be in for a hell of an interview. Stern and Sutter had never met before the conversation, but that in some ways made this a little more interesting since you had a natural conversation about the sort of stuff Kurt watched as a child, how he started to get involved in the world of television, and the differences between the sort of stuff that he and his wife Katey Sagal watch. There was also one moment early on where Stern was keen to start tearing into “Glee,” though he obviously didn’t realize at the time that Katey had actually appeared on the show as Artie’s mom.
You can watch the full interview if you’ve got a ton of time on your hands here, and you’ll be happy you did just from the perspective of finding out more about both Katey and Kurt. Of course, it is Howard Stern, and so there is a ton of strong language involved (which is why we’re not embedding it directly on the page this time around).
There is another new “Sons of Anarchy” season 6 article airing on FX tomorrow night, and you can preview it starting over at the link here. We’ll have some more all about it tomorrow before the episode airs.
