‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, and a surprising Christmas special
While this may not be Christmas in July, it’s still something that is a little bit odd: Christmas in springtime. You see, the timeline of “Glee” season 5 right now is currently such that the show is actually in the spring of 2013, which is completely odd for so many reasons. Take, for example, that the cast is performing a song in “Wrecking Ball” that WAS NOT ACTUALLY OUT at the time in which the show was set. It’s almost like the writers are creating an alternate history, or are just being a little lazy at this point since nobody really cares about McKinley High anymore.
But the episode entitled “The End of Twerk” is a completely different story, since what we are talking about here is actually that there is a Christmas special coming. According to Mjsbigblog, this is going to be called “Previously Unaired Christmas,” and we’re assuming that this is more of a flashback to what was going on with some of the gang in New York over the holiday season last year that we did not see.
If this is the case, then there are all sorts of bizarre little oddities that the show will need to try and find a way to include. For one, you have the issue of Rachel Berry being close to Brody at the time, or Kurt and Blaine not being together. (They did have that performance together at the ice rink, though.) Also, you have the little issue here of Santana not really making the move to New York until the “Diva” episode, which was really just set a couple of months before where the show is in the timeline now. Does anyone else’s brain hurt?
The only thing that we can say for sure is that Lea Michele, Naya Rivera, and Chris Colfer have all been spotted filming some scenes while dressed as elves recently, and there are going to be appearances from a Santa Claus. This episode was originally hinted at by Ryan Murphy on Twitter, asking if anyone wanted to “see Glee’s NEVER BEFORE AIRED Xmas special? Too hot for TV.” We seriously doubt that it was too “hot,” mostly because we’re going to end up seeing it, anyway.
What do you think: Is there any real possibility that an episode like this could work, or are we looking at something at this point that is simply much to silly? Share below! Also, click here if you are interested in trying to “investigate” the issue as to why Sam is shirtless again.

You said it right, my brain does hurt trying to make any sense out of what we’ve been told so far. I’m going back to my plan A and just look for shows that will have Adam Lambert in them. If there happens to be a story line I can connect with, that will be nice too.
